Hailing from Seattle, Evin Shinn is a Language Arts and Social Studies teacher turned Literacy Coach and has dedicated himself to teaching students that their stories matter for the past 12 years. With a M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership, he has served in various capacities to mentor and equip teachers with tools that create collaborative classrooms and center students’ social-emotional learning in secondary education. Experienced in Project-Based Learning and using Restorative Practices, Evin has served on his site’s Building Leadership Team, his district’s Strategic Plan Work Group, and Peer Assistance and Review Panel to adjudicate differences regarding teacher evaluations.
