If your New York State school is engaged with The Educator Collaborative for in-school literacy consulting, you may be able to earn CTLE Hours through us. Register here only if your school has an active consulting agreement with The Educator Collaborative, Registration indicates that you accept and agree to the Eligibility Requirements, including all policies and procedures outlined in the packet available at the bottom of this page or at TheEducatorCollaborative.com/CTLE.

You must register within 5 days of the first activity you wish to accrue hours (e.g. register by September 20th to accrue hours starting from September 15th).

  • Eligible* New York State Teachers, Level III Teaching Assistants, and Leaders may accrue CTLE Hours with The Educator Collaborative. Upon completion, The Educator Collaborative will provide eligible individuals with documentation of accrued CTLE hours as required by NYSED. This documentation will also be stored by the organization per NYSED policies.

    Please complete this form to register for CTLE Hours. Hours with The Educator Collaborative may be accrued beginning May 1, 2018 for in-school consulting. All other opportunities are described at TheEducatorCollaborative.com/CTLE. Please review the "In-School Requirements" packet below before submitting.

    The Educator Collaborative will process and distribute a certificate of CTLE hours via email, within 6-12 weeks of the end of the CTLE activity. If you are engaged in in-school consulting during the school year, certificates would be distributed via email over the summer.

    Updates may be made to this packet at any time, which will go into effect upon posting.

    Registration is only in effective for the school year in which it was made and only during the term of active Agreement between my school/district/organization and The Educator Collaborative.

    A new registration is required each school year.

    The New York State Educator Department ultimately controls the CTLE program and policies. These may change at any time.

    Any fees paid to The Educator Collaborative for CTLE hour accrual are non-refundable.

CTLE Hour accrual is not guaranteed and no claim for a total set of hours is implied or expressly stated by The Educator Collaborative, LLC. CTLE Hour accrual is provided as a secondary service to schools with which we partner, our primary purpose during in-school consulting is to support the professional learning and development of staff in alignment with a school’s literacy goals.

**New York State Office of Teaching Initiatives permits CTLE Sponsors to award CTLE hours during high quality professional development based on each sponsor’s discretion and formula, this includes providing hours during the school day when applicable. The Educator Collaborative does provide hours both during and outside of the school day. Though rare, some districts may limit the hours or activities permissible for CTLE hour accrual. Check with your school or district prior to registration for specifics related to your unique circumstance. While The Educator Collaborative may provide certification of CTLE hours, their validity is ultimately governed by your specific context.

Registering for CTLE Hour accrual indicates one’s acceptance of our requirements, procedures, and conditions, including “Eligibility Requirements” defined in the packets below. Please review them carefully and fully before registering.
