Elsa Lizette Galindo, now in her 18th year in education, has taught 1st-5th grades in a dual language classroom, has served as a K-5 interventionist, bilingual specialist, and reading coach. Currently, she is a Literacy Specialist for North East ISD. The first to attend college in her family, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, holds a Master’s in Education and a certification as Master Reading Teacher from Our Lady of the Lake University. Elsa is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Curriculum and Instruction at Northcentral University. A busy and proud mom of two amazing kids, she enjoys spending time with them hiking, reading, and learning something new every day. More than anything she loves teaching kids to read and enjoy reading.
