Carolina del Hierro Cervetto has worked as a classroom teacher for the last 8 years in Ecuador, the UK, and Australia. With a broad experience teaching EAL from K-12 as well as to adults and professionals Carolina has been engaged in creating resources, developing education policy in Ecuador, and working with teachers to create professional developments. Carolina has worked as an Instructional Designer and professor for Universidad Internacional del Ecuador creating online units for the B.A. of Education.

Carolina’s education started with Universidad San Fracisco de Quito in Ecuador where she used the study abroad program to study at Presbyterian College and New Mexico State University. After working as a teacher for 2 years she was motivated to pursue a Masters in Primary Education Policies and Practices from University College of London. Studying at a prestigious institution as the Institute of Education provided her with the tools to work in educational programs to improve outcomes in LMICs. Carolina is an ongoing learner and is excited to join The Educator Collaborative to continue expanding her understanding of literacy to support an equitable classroom teaching as well as evidence based policies.
