Brendaly Torres is a Bronxite who has been serving her community as an educator for the past 12 years. She holds a B.A. in sociology, an M.S.Ed in TESOL from CUNY Lehman College, and an extension in Students with Disabilities 7-12 from Mercy College. She has been supporting second language learners’ literacy acquisition as an English as a New Language (ENL) teacher for the past 8 years. As a life-long learner, Brendaly is passionate about designing tools for differentiation to meet the needs of all learners. She is currently an ENL and Literacy teacher at International Community High School, a progressive project-based learning public school, situated in the vibrant South Bronx that has been dedicated to educating Multilingual Learners. As an avid reader herself, her goal is to inspire a love of literacy in all students and teachers she works with.
