Gwen Quinn, M.Ed., is a first grade teacher in rural Pennsylvania. She received her K-12 reading certification from Cabrini University in 2011. She advocates for quality education for all children. She strives to develop her practice as she delves into the complexities of teaching. She has a wide range of research interests within the field of early childhood education, including the study of oral language and pre-conventional reading development. She is currently leading her district in the transformation to Reading Workshop. She has facilitated countless professional development sessions for her colleagues on the best practices of literacy instruction. Gwen is pursuing an Ed.D. in Cognitive Studies in Reading at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania.
